Would you rather live a perfect, safe life…or live a life with risk and choice? Is choice dangerous if it can lead to “unfavorable” or “unpredictable” outcomes? Beyond the love triangle and somewhat familiar YA dystopia, Matched raises some interesting questions about the idealization of safety and perfection, and what, if anything, is worth trading to achieve it.
